Business Development Manager, Omaha Office
Latimer Associates, Inc. d.b.a as ASI | Signage Innovations and ImageFirst™ Signs is a design services and interior and exterior signage manufacturing company. Our approach is versatile with clientele across the construction industry including end-users, general contractors, architects, and design firms. The work we do helps facilities be ADA compliant and create positive customer experiences for our client’s clients. We’ve been working hard and playing hard for over 35 years with manufacturing in Grinnell, Iowa, and offices in Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois.
In This Role:
You will have the direct support of the VP of Sales and Marketing as you learn about our process, nurture your professional networks, uncover leads for potential projects, understand customer needs, meet existing customers, and help us grow while we help you grow. Our sales team will support you with advice, ideas, and experience to help you along the way. You will be the company’s primary point of contact “in the field” for all customers within a defined geographic territory. This territory covers Nebraska and Western Iowa out of the Omaha office.

Someone with 3-5 years of sales/development experience, ideally in the architectural, construction, or design industry.
What You’ll Do:
Understand the roles in a construction project and what services and products could help make their jobs easier on the project.
Provide cohesive communication as the client liaison throughout the process.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the assigned territory including emerging opportunities, existing customers, market trends, areas of concern, challenges, etc.
Manage information in our CMS software. Responsible for creating leads, summarizing correspondence, quotes, drawing, and ordering activities associated with your client’s project.
Work collaboratively on Design-Build proposals with internal Environmental Graphics and Marketing team.
Advises on specific marketing needs including advertising platforms, trade shows, sponsorships, etc for your territory.
Maintains extensive knowledge of products and services offered by ASI.
Participates in ongoing training exercises to consistently improve selling techniques.
Proactively conducts public speaking programs targeting core customer audiences (ie. AIA presentations, lunch-n-learn programs, etc).
Works hand-in-hand with designers, project managers, manufacturing, etc. to ensure projects meet customer expectations.
Adheres to company policies and advises management on opportunities for improvement to better serve the customer.
Maintains ongoing knowledge of the latest technologies to improve productivity including company-standard software and hardware.
